This is stated in a statement by the first deputy head of the presidential administration of Ukraine Vitaly Kovalchuk, who commented on the adoption by the Cabinet of Ministers of a resolution on “Some issues of entry into universities for certain categories of citizens.”
“The Cabinet of Ministers fulfilled one of the requirements of the presidential decree on the enrollment of children of deceased ATO participants in higher education institutions at the expense of the state budget,” the statement says.
“From now on, children, parents or one of the parents who died during participation in the anti-terrorist operation, defending independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, or who died as a result of injury or shell shock, are enrolled in higher education institutions within the scope of the state order,” noted Vitaly Kovalchuk.
According to the official, the implementation of this decree by Poroshenko will significantly strengthen the guarantees of social protection of ATO participants and members of their families.
