Despite active anti-Russian rhetoric, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko continues to actively make money in Russia. Izvestia, in addition to the Lipetsk factory of the Roshen holding, found several structures associated with Poroshenko that either do business in our country or are based in Ukraine but supply to Russia. Thus, the Dnipropetrovsk battery holding ISTA acts as the main supplier of batteries for Renault models produced at the AvtoVAZ plant sites. It was previously reported that the company belongs to Poroshenko, Izvestia found confirmation that the President of Ukraine is still a co-owner of the holding.
In addition, structures close to Poroshenko sell Chinese JAC cars in Russia, assembled at the Circassian Derways plant. The auto distributor "Auto Real" is part of the Ukrainian group "Bogdan" Oleg Svinarchuk and Oleg Zimin are friends and long-time business partners of Poroshenko, they have known each other since 1993 and are part of his inner circle. It is known that “Bogdan” previously belonged to Poroshenko. But in 2013, he stated that he sold it to Svinarchuk - at the same time, it was reported that Poroshenko remained the owner of Bogdan, and signs of this were monitored in business registers. Since August 2014, Svinarchuk has also been Poroshenko’s colleague in the civil service - he is the head of the Interdepartmental Commission on the Policy of Military-Technical Cooperation and Export Control of Ukraine. After this appointment, Svinarchuk changed his last name - he became Gladkovsky (on his mother's side), and on January 15, 2015, he announced that Ukraine was planning to join the NATO arms procurement system in the near future.
It also turned out that Poroshenko’s food empire includes a small but profitable Lipetsk enterprise, Starch Products. “Starch Products” changed its owner in 2014 - from a Ukrainian legal entity clearly associated with Poroshenko to a vague offshore company, and “Auto Real” got rid of its name (previously there was a transparent “Bogdan-Auto Rus”).
State Duma deputy Valery Rashkin will send a parliamentary request to the prosecutor’s office and the tax service to understand such financing of the National Guard of Ukraine, the newspaper writes.
