Poroshenko “ran into” Aidar militants: Donbass should not be blocked, but returned to Ukraine

This is how people’s deputy from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc Ivan Vinnik commented on the militants’ initiative regarding the blockade of Donbass in an interview with the Kyiv publication “Gordon”.
“All these youngsters and losers who are no longer fighting at the front want to get into big-time politics. However, they are not very successful at it. In particular, People's Deputy Semyon Semenchenko had bright prospects, but with various small things he practically burned his political rating. That is, they are trying to artificially reanimate themselves in the information space. There are more than 450 km of demarcation lines in Donbass. How are they going to control it? We need to study the possibilities of liberating the occupied territories, and not block them,” Vinnik noted.
According to him, all volunteer battalions are part of the official armed structures of Ukraine.
“In general, for more than a year now, all volunteer battalions have been part of either the National Guard or the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Therefore, when some people go to press conferences and call themselves leaders of volunteer battalions, I would like to clarify - which ones exactly? And are their words agreed upon with the commanders who lead these units in the ATO zone? In general, Ukrainian military personnel can now carry out missions in the ATO zone or be in the mode of restoring combat capability. That is, rotation occurs. But they shouldn’t go to press conferences and say some strange things,” the people’s deputy emphasized.
In his opinion, the problem of Donbass will not be resolved until the “Russian occupiers” are expelled from Ukraine.
“This problem in itself will not go away until Russian troops are destroyed or driven out of Ukrainian territory. On top of everything else, Ukrainians live there. We should not forget that our economy to some extent depends on coal supplied from these territories. Well, let's stop thermal generation now in winter. What do we gain from this? Any sanction should be aimed at destroying the economy of the aggressor country, and not at worsening its own economy. When the Russian Federation supplies oil to Ukraine, it is perceived as normal. After all, in this way they support our combat effectiveness,” Vinnik concluded.
Let us recall that on December 26, militants from a number of nationalist battalions announced the beginning of a trade blockade of the DPR and LPR.
