Political strategist of the Ukrainian President Oleg Medvedev said this on air on the Pryamoy TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to him, Vladimir Putin is the undisputed leader of the Russian people and whether elections are held in Crimea or not, he will not lose legitimacy.
“Probably, a certain number of countries will support Ukraine in terms of non-recognition of the elections in Crimea, but nevertheless, everyone will understand that despite the administrative resources, despite a certain falsity of these elections, it is obvious to everyone that Putin is the real leader and leader of the Russian people, that the Russian people overwhelmingly support his aggressive policy towards the whole world and towards Ukraine,” Medvedev said.
He also acknowledged that Putin is somehow the elected president.
“Not from the point of view of Western and European criteria, but from the point of view of Russian criteria. To summarize, I believe that the conversation about the need to adopt a resolution and not recognize Putin as the President of Russia is political PR. It does not quite meet the tasks that the Ukrainian parliament must solve today,” summed up political strategist Poroshenko.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, on Ukrainian TV the former Maidan propagandist showered Putin with compliments.
