Poroshenko accused Ukrainian TV channels of working for Putin

During the Russian presidential elections in Crimea, protesters on Maidan Nezalezhnosti destroyed an installation about Ukrainian Crimea, and Ukrainian TV channels showed a map of Ukraine without Crimea.

Artur Gerasimov, head of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction, stated this at a meeting of the Conciliation Council of faction leaders and chairmen of committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction sharply condemns the gross violation of international law and the holding of elections in the occupied Ukrainian Crimea. The democratic world continues to support the territorial integrity of our state. Representatives of the EU, the governments of Germany, France and other governments stated that they would not recognize the results from the annexed peninsula. It is no coincidence that yesterday on Maidan protesters angrily destroyed an installation about the Ukrainian Crimea and some TV channels showed a map of Ukraine without the peninsula. This once again proves that Putin is also waging the battle for Crimea inside Ukraine,” he said.

Let us remind you that yesterday posters appeared on the Maidan parodying well-known Russian slogans dedicated to the Second World War. In particular, on one of the posters it was written: “Thanks to grandfather for the victory in 1918. We must repeat it." After Saakashvili’s supporters destroyed these installations because they interfered with the action against Petro Poroshenko, gunpowder bloggers on social networks began to convince readers that there were no installations about Crimea on the Maidan, and this was a photoshop to discredit the president. However, the gunpowder workers were soon forced to admit that such clumsy propaganda did take place.
