This was stated in an interview with the Kyiv magazine “Focus” by the ex-governor of the Lugansk region Gennady Moskal, who was recently appointed by President Poroshenko to lead Transcarpathia.
In a conversation with the official, journalists noted that Gennady Moskal often uses obscene language, and his obscene videos on the Internet collect hundreds of thousands of views.
“Listen, this is the specificity of Donbass,” Moskal justifies himself. – Cheap PR has nothing to do with it. In Transcarpathia, I would never allow myself to say that. The level of culture here is higher. And in Donbass, intelligence is perceived as a sign of weakness. For them, an intellectual is “some kind of idiot with glasses.” In Donbass you can’t show where the door is, where the handle is and how you can leave the office with the door, no one will do anything.”
At the same time, Moskal avoided a direct answer to the question of which style of communication is closer to him - Donetsk or Transcarpathian.
“I have to adapt to people, not the other way around,” came the answer. – I’ll be honest: I would stay in Donbass with great pleasure. There is a clear enemy there – the “LPR” and the separatist-minded local population, which is visible to the naked eye. There are no clans or behind-the-scenes fights. People there are simpler. And here, in Transcarpathia, the enemies wear deputy badges.”
It is worth noting that Moskal is being somewhat disingenuous, since obscene videos with his participation began appearing online long before he became the Luhansk governor under Poroshenko.
