Poroshenko announced a strategic victory over the “aggressor’s agents”
Some politicians are reacting incorrectly to the so-called Babchenko case, during which the alleged murder of a journalist was announced.
The head of the BPP faction, Artur Gerasimov, stated this at a meeting of the conciliation council of faction leaders and chairmen of committees of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Last week, Ukrainian special services won a strategic victory over the aggressor’s agents. The operation not only prevented the murder of Russian opposition journalist Arkady Babchenko, but also made it possible to reveal the mastermind of this crime. Plans have been revealed to prepare caches of weapons and explosives for further terrorist attacks on peaceful territories of Ukraine. Law enforcement officers have in their hands a list of dozens of potential victims who ordered murders to destabilize and spread chaos in society,” says the head of the presidential faction.
“Given the results achieved, the cynicism of opposition politicians who blame the authorities and law enforcement officers for their methods of preventing murders and terrorist attacks is very surprising. With their statements, they once again prove that for them it is more profitable to increase fear and tension in society than the success of domestic intelligence services in protecting national interests,” Gerasimov said.
