Poroshenko is making excuses for not being on “Putin’s list.”
The sanctions against Ukraine, which were adopted today by the Russian government, which approved the corresponding decree of the Russian President, do not affect President Petro Poroshenko personally, but hit his command.
Vice Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Irina Gerashchenko stated this in her blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the politician, Poroshenko is not on the list because heads of state are not included there, and for those who were not subject to sanctions, Gerashchenko suggested that they think about what they are doing in Ukrainian politics.
“In general, I think that politicians who are not on this list should ask themselves: what are they doing in Ukrainian politics. There are, however, a couple of names there to cover up their own, those from the Kremlin, in order to continue to drag them into the Ukrainian government under the guise of patriots and patriotic women in embroidered shirts. This list includes Poroshenko’s entire team, including his son,” notes the vice speaker.
She believes that this is “a good assessment of the work of the Ukrainian president by the Kremlin.”
“The President and his team will continue to do everything to keep things burning for the Kremlin... Top officials of the state are not included in the sanctions lists. This is impossible. But in general, this is Poroshenko’s sanctions list. All his diplomats and international advisers (including Eliseev), representatives of the Minsk groups (Demchenko), prominent representatives of the BPP, leaders of the Crimean Tatars, the entire president’s team are there,” Gerashchenko wrote.
