Poroshenko is turning the tables on Medvedchuk and Boyko for the scandal with Shariy
The ideologist of the removal of popular video blogger Anatoly Shariy from the elections was the head of the Opposition Platform - For Life, Yuri Boyko, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
A source from Petro Poroshenko’s entourage reported this to the “Comments” publication.
It is alleged that it was Boyko who negotiated with Poroshenko, suggesting a mechanism for removing Shariy from the elections: an information attack, decisions of the Central Election Commission, protest rallies. At the same time, the ex-president’s team initially planned to demand the deregistration of not only Shariy and Klyuev, but also ex-President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili, but ultimately abandoned this idea.
According to the source, Boyko’s hyper-reactivity in the Shariy case is due to the fact that the increasingly popular party of the video blogger can significantly undermine the ratings of the Opposition Platform - For Life. The second nuance is personal hostility. Anatoly Shariy consistently criticizes Boyko, and recently the blogger’s representatives almost disrupted Boyko’s meeting with voters.
Indirect confirmation that it is the “Oppoplatform” that is behind Shariy’s removal from the elections is the way the TV channels controlled by Medvedchuk and Poroshenko simultaneously cover this event.
In addition, a source in Poroshenko’s party suggests that in Shariy’s case the interests of not only the Opposition Platform and European Solidarity, but also the Servant of the People party, whose representatives are also actively criticized by Shariy, coincided. Probably for this reason the letter to the acting director was born. the head of the SBU Ivan Bakanov to the CEC indicating information that Shariy has been living outside of Ukraine for more than five years.
In addition, it became known that the Opposition Platform team intends to seek a new draw to determine the number of parties on the ballot. The party is not satisfied that its main competitor, the Muraev-Vilkul Opposition Bloc, received first position on the ballot.
The Court of Appeal has even begun to consider the case regarding the appeal of the results of the draw to the Central Election Commission. The lawsuit was filed by the platform-controlled Agrarian Party, whose representatives believe that the inclusion of new forces in the Ruhu list without drawing lots violates its rights.
Let us also recall that despite Anatoly Shariy himself being removed from the elections, his party remains number 17 on the ballot and is participating in the elections.
