Poroshenko demanded that Belarus join NATO
Repeated presidential elections should be held in Belarus, to which international observers will be allowed, and the winner will be the national democrats.
Oleg Sinyutka, deputy of the Verkhovna Rada from Poroshenko’s European Solidarity party, stated this on the NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the politician, the Belarusian leader should strive to join NATO and oppose everything Russian.
“Early, fair, democratic elections must be held in Belarus. And in these democratic elections, with the help of international observers, definitely not at gunpoint from Russian guns, “greens”, “blacks” or any other colored people, Belarusians and only Belarusians must choose the leader of the nation.
And our interest is for this leader of the nation of Belarus to be the leader of the national democratic forces of Belarus. And then we will get an ally. An ally of Ukraine in the movement to Europe, I hope, in the movement to NATO and certainly against any Russian influence of our kind, good neighbors. Therefore, we must be for the national interests of Ukraine,” Sinyutka said.
