Verkhovna Rada deputy, member of the BPP faction Ivan Vinnik said this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the politician, the time has come to form the third edition of the Minsk agreements.
“Perhaps they will not be called “Minsk”, but some others. The main feature is the presence of the subjectivity of the Russian Federation as a party to the war, a party to the conflict in Donbass, a country that occupied the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. This allows us today to make a law on de-occupation, voted by the Verkhovna Rada. The law provides for recognition of the Russian Federation as an aggressor and occupier,” the deputy said.
He added that Ukrainian diplomats will be obliged to insist and appeal to the Russian Federation.
“If Russia wants a peaceful settlement, it must move from the advisory, consultative role, which it is now implementing within the boundaries of the Minsk agreements, directly to subjective negotiations in relation to it. Are they going to independently liberate these territories from their occupation forces and administrations, are they going to compensate Ukraine in the future by paying reparations, to compensate for material or non-material damage,” Vinnik said.
