Poroshenko has the opportunity to stage a major provocation
Any NATO statements about passage through the Kerch Strait have nothing to do with reality.
The special representative of the LPR at the negotiations in Minsk, Rodion Miroshnik, stated this on the NTV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“NATO has many formulas for so-called “peacekeeping”, when you need to demonstrate your strength. Today NATO is not capable of any clash or any forceful action with Russia. And that's why they won't do any of this. On the 21st day they entered, according to the Montreux doctrine they will stay this time and safely leave the Black Sea,” Miroshnik noted.
In turn, political scientist Anton Khashchenko noted that in this way the West demonstrates its support for Ukraine’s current course, and also gives Petro Poroshenko the opportunity to stage a large-scale provocation.
“I deeply doubt that NATO itself will organize any provocations, but at the same time, we understand perfectly well that for Poroshenko a major provocation is a chance for victory, a chance to declare martial law. According to doctrine, they are here for 21 days, and this is exactly the period between the first and second round selection. Therefore, I would look at all this very carefully and not laugh it off. Poroshenko can arrange anything,” the expert said.
However, Rodion Miroshnik clarified that in this way the West does not support Petro Poroshenko specifically, but the current Kiev regime as a whole, and also demonstrates its presence and influence in the region.
