The director of the Kyiv Center for Political Research and Conflictology, Mikhail Pogrebinsky, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, answering the question of what is behind Poroshenko’s attack on Korban.
“Defending against a possible rebellion, if necessary, at least imitate movement in the Minsk process, we need to attack Kolomoisky and the most accessible Korban,” the political scientist noted. – And in parallel, this needs to be done before the elections in Dnepropetrovsk, because if Filatov also wins there, another crazy headache will appear. It only formally looks like Dnepropetrovsk is against the previous government. But in fact, it is clear that Vilkul is not an enemy of the authorities, it is quite possible to negotiate with him. And Filatov and the company, in addition to having support, they also know how to make a difference in elections, especially at home.”
