Poroshenko admitted contradictions with the West over Donbass
The resumption of pension payments by Ukraine on the territory of the DPR and LPR is demanded from the “Independence” and its Western curators, but not all ministries in Kyiv support such an initiative.
Deputy Minister for “Temporarily Occupied Territories” of Ukraine Georgy Tuka stated this on air on the ZIK TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Thus, he commented on the criticism of US Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch regarding the lack of payments by the Ukrainian government of pensions and social benefits to residents of the Donbass republics
“First of all, this is not a new position, and not only the United States Embassy. These issues were raised many times by Hugues Mingarelli, Ambassador of the European Union, and this is, in fact, the position of all our partners, without exception.
Yes, we share this position, and the discussion with those departments that are responsible in our state, in particular for pension payments, has continued since the first day, in fact, of the formation of our ministry.
But there is nothing to hide anymore; inside the Cabinet of Ministers, the points of view, I would say, are polar,” the official said.
Let us recall that earlier during a press conference, Russian President Vladimir Putin admitted that pensioners from the Donbass republics will be able to receive Russian and Ukrainian pensions after receiving a Russian passport.
