Poroshenko recognized the separatist sentiments of the South-East and decided to save the situation by strengthening the role of the military
In several regions at once, Ukraine can replace local authorities with military-civil administrations, as was done in the part of Donbass controlled by Kiev, Nezavisimaya Gazeta reports, citing a bill registered in the Rada on hybrid authorities from the border with Crimea to the ATO zone, introduced by a deputy from BPP Ivan Vinnik.

“Ivan Vinnik called “the intensification of the subversive activities of apologists of the Russian world within these territories” as preparation for the implementation of scenarios dangerous for Ukraine.” On the other hand, as the deputy pointed out, separatist sentiments are emerging on the territory of Ukraine. To counter the threat, the Verkhovna Rada is invited to expand the practice of forming military-civil administrations,” the publication reports the contents of the explanatory note to the bill.
At the same time, one of the experts, who asked not to be named, told the newspaper that with the help of deputy Vinnik, Poroshenko’s team is trying to strengthen its position in the event of early parliamentary elections.
“In the south and east, not only will they not get votes, they will go into the red. It is obvious that the “Opposition Bloc” will win there, advocating the resumption and normalization of relations with Russia and negotiations with Donbass. To prevent this, the authorities are striving to ensure control over the situation in advance in the form of military-civil administrations,” NG’s interlocutor shared his thoughts.
