The press service of the court reported this, Ukrinform reports.
“The District Administrative Court of Kyiv received a case on the legality of Sytnik’s appointment as director of NABU,” the statement says.
The press service explained that the District Administrative Court of Kyiv is considering a claim against the State Fiscal Service regarding a special audit of Sytnyk’s declaration as a candidate for the position of director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau. It is noted that in the preliminary court hearing the court involved Artem Sytnik as a third party as an individual.
“The essence of the claim is that on March 31, 2015, the day Sytnik submitted the updated declaration, the Procedure for logical and arithmetic control of the declaration of property, income, expenses and financial obligations, approved by the relevant order of the Ministry of Finance. At the same time, the new Procedure came into force only on April 30, 2015. At the same time, Sytnyk was recognized as having passed a special check, and by Decree of April 16, 2016, he was appointed director of NABU,” the court’s press service clarified.
They added that the plaintiff asks the court to recognize the actions of the State Fiscal Service as unlawful and to oblige them to send a message refuting the information about the accuracy of the information in Sytnik’s declaration for 2014, taking into account the updated declaration dated March 31, 2015. The plaintiff also asks to oblige the State Fiscal Service to send to the Presidential Administration and the relevant commission a message refuting the information regarding the reliability of the information in Sytnik’s declaration, taking into account the updated data.
Let us recall that the factions of the BPP and the Popular Front wanted to dismiss Sytnyk from his post by a resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, but the US State Department came to his defense.
