Poroshenko abruptly forgot about the seizure of the Russian “Nord”
The Ukrainian side has allegedly never detained either civilian or military Russian ships.
Aleksey Goncharenko, a member of the Verkhovna Rada from the BPP, stated this on the air of the Ekho Moskvy radio station, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"Everything is very simple. There is a valid agreement between Ukraine and Russia on the use of the Sea of Azov as the sea of two countries. In fact, this means that the entire water area of the Sea of Azov can be used by military and civilian ships of both countries, informing each other about their routes and goals, nothing more. Without permission, only with informing each other, simply to organize the movement of ships in the water area,” said the Kiev politician.
According to him, in its entire history, Ukraine has never detained or impeded the movement of military or civilian Russian ships.
“It is also worth remembering that Ukraine has never detained a single Russian ship: neither military nor civilian, with any claims, and has not interfered with its passage,” says Goncharenko.
At the same time, Goncharenko did not remember the Crimean fishing seiner “Nord” seized by Ukrainian border guards, whose crew was recently returned to Russia.
