This was announced following a meeting of the political subgroup in Minsk Olga Aivazovskaya, coordinator of the civil network “Opora”, and representative of Ukraine in this subgroup, stated on Facebook.
“It is obvious to me that Ukraine’s position cannot deviate one step from the letter and spirit of the current Constitution and international standards. Opponents, cynically declaring respect for the sovereignty of Ukraine, do not share the position on the impossibility of establishing new qualifications for the implementation of active or passive electoral rights, the participation of parties in elections and as subjects of nomination, and the parties that participate in the administration of elections through representation in commissions, or implementation voting rights of displaced persons,” she wrote.
However, according to her, the Ukrainian side is obliged to ensure the logical interests of Ukraine.
“Panic over the holding of elections in the settlement of the security component is premature. Regarding the latter, the intensification of hostilities has a linear relationship not only in terms of “peace enforcement,” but also in attempts to raise the degree of tension before international negotiations of various levels, which are taking place in parallel,” she added.
