Poroshenko rebelled against “Doctor Death”
The acting Minister of Health, American Ulyana Suprun, is destroying the remnants of medicine in Ukraine and sabotaging all positive progress in terms of healthcare in general and cancer care for Ukrainians in particular.
This was stated during a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada by an active Maidan activist, Verkhovna Rada deputy from the “Petro Poroshenko Bloc” Olga Bogomolets, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Yesterday a meeting of the Health Committee took place, and the majority of deputies decided to make a statement about blatant injustice, the cynicism of the leadership of the Ministry of Health and a statement about a crime,” Bogomolets said from the podium, surrounded by supporters.
“For the third week, an open-ended protest of cancer patients has been taking place outside the walls of the Ministry of Health. At the same time, healthcare management did not come out to meet patients. Yesterday people came to the walls of parliament asking all people's deputies to give them a single chance to live.
Since 2016, 38 Ukrainians have died without waiting for a response from the relevant commissions. Neither we nor representatives of patient organizations received any answers from the Ministry of Health. We are outraged by such cynicism and inactivity of the Ministry of Health in matters on which people’s lives depend,” said the people’s deputy.
“Today, funds from the Ukrainian state are in Belarus, but patients cannot go there because the ministry did not bother to direct these funds for their intended purpose. That year we paid seven million dollars to Belarus alone for operations that could have been performed in Ukraine. What is missing is the only document developed by the Ministry of Health on the procedure for passing donor cells through the cordon. For the same money, three times more operations could be performed in Ukraine. There would be no queues, children and adults with cancer would not die,” added the Maidan activist.
“We consider the actions of the Ministry of Health to be criminal and demand that the Prime Minister of Ukraine dismiss him from his position. Minister of Health Ulyana Suprun and Deputy Minister Alexander Linchevsky for inactivity and failure to organize the appropriate fulfillment of the obligations assigned to them and bring them to justice,” Bogomolets demanded.
As PolitNavigator reported, Doctor of Economic Sciences of Ukraine Anatoly Peshko, during a conference in Kyiv, directly stated that the reason Ukraine is in the leading position in Europe in terms of infant mortality lies in the “reforms” of Ulyana Suprun.
