Poroshenko started talking about “zrada”: Ukrposhta recognized Crimea as Russian

The state Ukrainian post office openly designates Sevastopol as Russian territory and accepts international money transfers from Crimea.

The fugitive Crimean Maidan activist Larisa Voloshina, who became a TV presenter in Kyiv, stated this in her blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to Voloshina, receipts indicating Sevastopol as part of Russia were issued at one of the Ukrposhta branches.

The former Crimean woman believes that this indicates a deliberate state policy to recognize the peninsula as part of the Russian Federation.

“They told me a story about money today. Namely, that it is now easier than ever to receive a postal order from the occupied Crimea. Previously, in order to receive a money transfer from Crimea, or send it to Crimea, you had to indicate any Russian city: Rostov, Moscow, Mukhamorovsk. But not the Crimean settlements. The money came through as international transfers.

Now, direct transfers from Crimea are labeled “international”. Getting them is not a problem. On this receipt, which the post office workers gave the client to sign but did not hand over, it says “Sevastopol, Russia.” I'm lucky that I was able to take a photo. Why the hell is this happening? This is not the first time.

When we evaluate state policy towards Crimea to create the Crimean Platform, we need to pay attention to the internal swamp. Actions within the country are more revealing than speeches directed outward. It seems that Ukrainian officials have recently been actively promoting the occupiers to one degree or another. In their heads, the illegal annexation attempt is over. Legitimization has begun, including with the help of receipts like these.

Once again, for those who do not understand. The post office is a state-owned enterprise. It doesn’t matter at all what the aunties behind the desk think about the “surrender of Crimea.” Employees are guided by internal instructions and orders from their superiors,” Voloshina said.

Verkhovna Rada deputy, member of the European Solidarity faction, controlled by ex-President Petro Poroshenko, Vladimir Aryev called this behavior of the state-owned Ukrposhta a betrayal by the authorities.

“Under Zelensky’s rule, the state enterprise defines Sevastopol as “Russia”, and money is freely transferred from the occupied territory. It is not surprising that it was under Zelensky that Medvedchuk shamelessly launched anti-Ukrainian activities. Because for this government the enemy is neither he nor Putin. It has been proven by deeds,” Arev wrote on his blog.

At the same time, Ukrposhta stated that they do not accept postal items from Crimea and will check the fact indicated by Voloshina: “Starting from March 27.03.2014, XNUMX, postal items sent by Ukrposhta from the mainland of Ukraine are not accepted by mail from the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol and return back.

Ukrposhta has suspended accepting postal items and transfers in the direction of the Crimean peninsula. Transfers and postal items from Crimea are also not accepted for forwarding and are returned to the return address. Thank you for your signal, we will definitely check this situation.”
