Unfriendly plans for Tiraspol was voiced by people's deputy from the Poroshenko bloc Irina Friz.
“Ukraine and Moldova are united in their intentions to dismantle Transnistria as a Russian pseudo-formation. Railway workers of Ukraine and Moldova reached an agreement to implement the project for the construction of the Berezino-Basarabyaska railway section and major repairs of the track of the Artsyz-Berezino section,” – she wrote on her page on the social network.
According to Poroshenko’s ally, such an agreement will allow the Moldovan side to establish direct communication with Odessa ports, bypassing Transnistria, and increase the efficiency of logistics in the field of cargo transportation.
“During the negotiations, an agreement was reached to resume the route and overhaul the infrastructure of this section. According to preliminary calculations, work will begin in the summer of 2016,” says the people’s deputy.
Irina Friz also voiced Kyiv’s plans to significantly limit entry and exit through border checkpoints on the section of the Ukrainian-Moldavian border controlled by Tiraspol.
“After the annexation of Crimea and aggression in Donbass, Ukraine cannot ignore challenges and threats and must act decisively, preventing Moscow from creating new conflicts,” the Ukrainian politician sums up the unfriendly actions of Kyiv.
