Poroshenko announced situational victories at negotiations in Minsk
Kyiv, February 01 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) – Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Valery Chaly said that the peace process is under threat at the negotiations in Minsk.

“They (representatives of the DPR and LPR – editor’s note) set ultimatum demands. They wanted to intimidate. They tried to put on a show, Kyiv disrupted the negotiations and the work of the trilateral contact group. Failed!" - he thinks.
“The professional work of Ukrainian representatives in Minsk, dozens of telephone contacts, constant well-coordinated work and coordination did not give a chance. If people had not died, we could talk about diplomatic situational victories. But, unfortunately, the peace process is under threat. They want to provoke us. It won’t work!” – Chaly wrote on his Facebook page.
In turn, the representative of the DPR at the peace negotiations in Minsk, vice-speaker of the People's Council of the DPR Denis Pushilin, said that Donetsk will adhere to the Minsk Memorandum. But at the same time he emphasized that there can be no talk of any implementation of Kyiv’s ultimatums when the Ukrainian Armed Forces are shelling the cities of the DPR. According to him, Ukraine demands that the DPR return to the contact line of September 19 last year. That is, agree to let Ukrainian security forces into the positions they left in the last two weeks.
