The Ukrainian government has only two scenarios for closing holes in the state budget - robbing a business or launching a printing press. Both options lead to dire consequences. Economic expert Gleb Vyshlinsky stated this on the Black Mirror talk show.

“When they say that they managed to increase budget revenues by 15 billion, this causes me great concern. What does it mean? This means that either we will squeeze these 15 billion out of business, and we know how this happens, we see all these “mask shows”, and the second option is if they write that these are the income of the National Bank, but the National Bank will not have these incomes, then money will be printed. Therefore, when deputies take credit for forcing the government to add 15 billion to the budget, then I would not say how good it is and “thank you very much,” but, on the contrary, I would be very much afraid,” Vyshlinsky said.
