Sevastopol, August 18 (Navigator, Olga Nikolaeva) – The Investigative Committee of Russia reports 2 dead and 5 hospitalized people as a result of a roof collapse at the presidential cadet school under construction in Sevastopol.

A criminal case has been opened for violation of construction rules, which resulted in the death of two or more persons through negligence.

Two workers died under the rubble, and five more people were taken to medical facilities with injuries of varying severity.

At the moment, employees are interrogating eyewitnesses and persons directly related to the construction of the building, all necessary construction documentation is being confiscated, and persons responsible for compliance with safety regulations at the site are being identified.

Earlier, Governor Sergei Menyailo reported 1 death and 8 hospitalized workers.
