Russia has no “red lines” regarding Donbass – Kozak
Russia does not have any “red lines” in solving the problem of the war in Donbass; Moscow will support any agreements reached by representatives of Kyiv and the LDPR.
Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kozak said this in an interview with the TASS news agency, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Russian Federation does not have any “red lines” (in matters of Donbass - editor’s note). Russian representatives in the contact group have simple and unambiguous directives to support any agreements that will be reached between Donbass and Ukraine in order to prevent escalation and peaceful political resolution of the conflict. Any,” he noted.
Dmitry Kozak also emphasized that the “red lines” announced by Kyiv conflict with the Minsk agreements, to which, according to the assurances of the Ukrainian leadership itself, there is no alternative.
The “red lines” of our Kyiv colleagues are completely unknown. They often tend to formulate their position in Aesopian language. One of the lines can be recognized - under no circumstances should you engage in dialogue with any representatives of ORDLO. But this “red line” goes beyond the “red lines” of the Minsk agreements, which clearly prescribe this dialogue.
We are again observing an absurd situation when all political statements by the top leadership of Ukraine, including the final documents of the last “Normandy” summit in Paris, signed by President Vladimir Zelensky, invariably note that there is no alternative to the Minsk agreements for resolving the conflict. And then it is stated that there are certain “red lines” that do not allow the implementation of the same Minsk agreements,” the politician noted.
Thank you!
