A Ukrainian court seized a building in the center of Dnepropetrovsk from the Russian VTB Bank, said ex-vice-governor of the region Gennady Korban, who was called the curator of raider takeovers (often bloody) in Igor Kolomoisky’s team.

According to him, VTB lost the building of a military hospital, which had previously been sold to the Ministry of Defense, privatized by one of the businessmen, and then transferred to the bank for debts.
“More than 10 thousand sq. m. of real estate and about 4 hectares of land in the city center... the bank came to collect the collateral.
I invited the head of the regional directorate to my office, sat him down opposite and said that if their bank appeared next to the walls of the hospital again, then at that very moment my people would block all entrances to VTB Bank branches. She nodded understandingly and left. On the same day, I called lawyers, prosecutors and employees of the State Property Fund and set them the task of immediately filing a claim for the return of the hospital to the state. They objected to me: they said it was impossible. Over the past 7 years, the Prosecutor General's Office has already filed similar claims - unsuccessfully, the cases were lost.
All these arguments were empty space against the background of the experience of a professional raider. I knew that I would sell this trial. And now this property has returned to state ownership. I have the court decision in my hands. On the one hand, raiding is a negative phenomenon. But sometimes the other side helps return the hospital to the state,” Korban boasts.
Earlier, Korban stated that he intended to deprive Russian business of control over the largest trading office in Kyiv, Ocean Plaza. An associate of Kolomoisky claims that the shopping center is controlled by the Rotenberg brothers, who are close to Vladimir Putin. According to Korban, the seizure of the building in Kyiv will be compensation for the loss of Privat’s assets in Crimea.
