This was reported by The Wall Street Journal, citing diplomatic sources.

“The proposal is due, among other things, to the hope of Paris and Berlin that Russian President Vladimir Putin is really ready to resolve the conflict and is looking for a way out of military support for the separatists in Donbass,” the publication says.

The material does not say where exactly the United States proposes to deploy peacekeepers. In addition, according to the publication, the Trump administration allegedly approved the supply of lethal weapons to Ukraine, including Javelin anti-tank systems, although a decision on the start of their deliveries has not yet been made.

The United States allegedly expects to use these supplies as “leverage” in resolving the situation around Ukraine. However, the White House has already denied information about consent to arms supplies.

Earlier it was reported that the Pentagon issued an official recommendation to the White House on the need to transfer the modern Javelin anti-tank system to Ukraine to help in the fight against Russian aggression.

This information was confirmed to the American television channel NBC by three US government sources.

Let us remind you that on October 4, Poroshenko submitted two bills to parliament regarding the situation in Donbass. The first provides for the peculiarities of Ukraine’s internal policy in relation to uncontrolled areas, the second - for resolving the situation there.

In turn, Kiev continues to prepare the ground for the creeping annexation of uncontrolled territories. Thus, the Verkhovna Rada adopted as a basis the so-called bill on the de-occupation of Donbass (officially - No. 7163 “On the peculiarities of state policy regarding ensuring the state sovereignty of Ukraine over the temporarily occupied territories in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions”), on October 6. 233 people's deputies voted in favor. Mention of the Minsk agreements was excluded from the document.

Let us recall that Petro Poroshenko, during his speech at the Security Council and the UN General Assembly, called for peacekeepers to be sent to Donbass. He was supported by the US Presidential Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker, according to whom such actions can be done without the consent of the DPR and LPR. In the Donbass republics themselves, they categorically insist on a preliminary discussion of this issue with their representatives, and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called such calls from Volker “occupation.”
