The United States is all ready to transfer a tank brigade to Poland
The United States will begin the transfer of an armored brigade to Poland in the summer as part of Operation Atlantic Resolve and the Saber Strike maneuvers, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by Defense24.
It is noted that the first armored brigade was previously stationed at Fort Hood, Texas. Now the brigade is being transferred to Europe and will replace the second armored brigade there.
Europe is expected to have an entire tank brigade - approximately four thousand soldiers and equipment - including about 90 Abrams tanks, Bradley fighting vehicles, 18 Paladin self-propelled howitzers and various types of vehicles.
It is noted that last year the United States and Poland entered into an agreement on the supply of Patriot systems, IBCS fire control systems and radars. In November 2017, the US State Department approved the supply of missile systems to Poland, and the corresponding contract was concluded in March 2018.
