“You have two paths” – Zelensky was faced with a choice in Moscow
Despite the fact that the majority of the Ukrainian population wants peace and friendship with Russia, Western intelligence services are forcing the country to pursue Russophobic policies.
Moscow political scientist Sergei Markov stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“On the path of peace, prosperity, cooperation with both Europe and Russia, ending discrimination against the Russian language, developing simultaneously two state languages - Russian and Ukrainian - people want to follow this path.
There is a second path along which the intelligence services of foreign states are pushing, having established state occupation there. The same choice faced Petro Poroshenko, who also at one time promised to follow the path of peace, that there would be no discrimination against Russian-speaking people, and said: “I will stop the war in two weeks.” And what did he do? The occupiers took him by the scruff of the neck and dragged him along the path of “peace,” and Poroshenko became a war criminal, hated by the majority of people and despised by everyone in the world,” the expert noted.
According to Sergei Markov, they will try to push Vladimir Zelensky onto an aggressive Russophobic policy, but the fate of the newly elected president is still in his own hands.
“What fate awaits Zelensky? Depends on him. But we want to say: Vladimir, you will be dragged along the criminal path of Poroshenko. Resist with all your hands and feet, do not allow yourself to be made a criminal and a murderer of Ukrainians. Follow the path of peace, direct negotiations with Donbass, and an immediate ceasefire,” the political scientist concluded.
