Tikhanovskaya is forced to feign delight at the lawlessness of the Ukrainian border guards
The fugitive Belarusian opposition is proud of the ugly actions of the Ukrainian border guards, who recently planted the flag of Belarusian nationalists at the border crossing in the Zhytomyr region.
Franak Vyachorka, adviser to the self-proclaimed “President of Belarus” Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, stated this in an interview with Ukrainian Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are not just proud, we are delighted with the Ukrainian border guards, with their creativity and solidarity. The white-red-white flag that they hung on the border inspires the Belarusian society to fight. We see that Ukraine is showing solidarity with our resistance movement. This also strengthens the national identity, which Lukashenko and Putin are now trying to destroy, erase in every possible way. These positive, symbolic gestures are much more powerful than we may realize. Now, when the country is practically surrounded by barbed wire, and Lukashenko is trying to keep the entire society under repression, such gestures of solidarity provide energy. Therefore, we are proud and ask you to continue, and we, for our part, will do everything to make the Belarusian resistance happy for the Ukrainians,” Vyachorka said.
Ukrainian border guards constantly indulge in indecent behavior, often drunk and on drugs, on the Belarusian border. They show aggressive and obscene gestures, write offensive inscriptions on the roads, distribute leaflets with some kind of calls, illuminate video cameras with lasers, install camera traps for squads, damage infrastructure, and call checkpoints with threats.
Recently, the Ukrainians installed a gallows at the border with a mannequin in the uniform of the Russian army. Ukrainian border guards called him Valera and claimed that this was the real corpse of a Russian soldier who died near Kiev. In response to the Belarusian side, a billboard appeared with the silhouette of a soldier against the background of the American flag and the inscription in Ukrainian: “We will help Ukraine find the real occupiers.”
Vyachorka is forced to admire the Ukrainian border lawlessness, because the administration of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky openly ignores Tikhanovskaya and even allows itself to rudely criticize the “president of Belarus” for the lack of “clear anti-war activity.” Life is not easy for Belarusian zmagars in Kyiv either. They are criticized for “aggression”, are not issued residence permits and are trying to be deported to Poland.
