The head of the Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities and Interethnic Relations of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Grigory Nemyrya (Fatherland faction), called on the Ukrainian government to change its policy regarding refugees from Donbass, and noted that the Cabinet of Ministers does not have the right to deprive this category of citizens of the right to receive pensions .

About it says Nemyri’s statement posted on the official website of the Ukrainian parliament.
“Forced migrants are citizens of Ukraine, and the Constitution guarantees the fulfillment of their rights and freedoms. Unfortunately, instead of helping these people, the government constantly creates obstacles for them, treating them like criminals. This is a violation of the Constitution and laws of Ukraine,” said Grigory Nemyrya.
He noted the need to protect the rights and freedoms of these people. In particular, the chairman of the committee stated the need to cancel the recent government decree No. 365 (amendments to decree No. 637), which introduces new mechanisms for punishing this category of citizens.
“Because of such government actions, the displaced were left without social benefits, in particular pensions. They found themselves on the brink of survival. I would like to remind you that a pension is not a gift from officials, but the property of Ukrainian citizens, earned through hard work,” he said.
Grigory Nemyrya emphasized that, as the chairman of the committee, he had already appealed to the Prime Minister of Ukraine with a demand to review Resolution No. 365.
