Tymoshenko does not understand why Russian gas cannot be bought
Instead of developing its own industry, the Kiev leadership is profiting from the import and repurchase of energy resources such as electricity, coal and gas.
Aleksey Kucherenko, a Verkhovna Rada deputy from Batkivshchyna and ex-Minister of Housing and Communal Services, stated this on air on the Politeka Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Why haven’t we stopped the import of Belarusian electricity, which is in full swing? Essentially, instead of paying money to our miners who are sitting without money, we pay for imports through the gaskets of a coalition deputy close to the government. Certain people make a lot of money from this.
The reformers have done everything to ensure that we do not have stable long-term contracts, and as a result, our country is “sausage.” We have entered a zone where the price of gas increases every day, and the main question is: where to buy it? Because there is a shortage in Europe now,” the politician said.
In addition, the deputy noted that Kyiv does not buy gas from Russia, while all other products are freely imported.
“It’s bad to buy from Russia; you absolutely cannot buy gas there. You can bring coal from Russia, you can buy electricity from Belarus, diesel fuel and diesel fuel, but gas – well, that’s absolutely not possible. Here we all need to find an answer to the question: why not, why such double standards?
Maybe it’s our reformers, together with European and American reformers, who simply want to make money from us by reselling Russian gas to us with a margin of $100 per thousand cubic meters of gas?” – summarized Kucherenko.
