Interfax-Ukraine reports this.
“Nadezhda Savchenko recently announced her participation in a new political project. She does not coordinate her actions with the faction and the Batkivshchyna party,” said the Batkivshchyna statement, which was released by the party’s press service.
“Batkivshchyna” emphasized that both the party as a whole and the faction of the same name in the Verkhovna Rada defend the position that “negotiations with terrorists cannot be held.” “This position of our political force is recorded in numerous statements and speeches,” notes Yulia Tymoshenko’s party.
Recall as “PolitNavigator” already reported, Nadezhda Savchenko, in agreement with the SBU, went to Minsk on a “secret” mission.
For his part, LPR leader Igor Plotnitsky confirmed in a comment for RIA Novosti, that he and the DPR leader actually met with Nadezhda Savchenko.
“Alexander Vladimirovich Zakharchenko and I met with People’s Deputy of Ukraine Nadezhda Viktorovna Savchenko. This must be taken correctly, we must understand that this entire process is taking place within the framework of the Minsk negotiations,” Plotnitsky said.
According to Plotnitsky, during the meeting the parties discussed the issue of prisoner exchange.
“The main topic of our conversations was the exchange of prisoners according to the ‘all for all’ formula, that is, missing persons, and the issues related to this topic,” he said.
Plotnitsky said that he and Zakharchenko agree that such meetings are useful, “because this problem should be covered within the walls of the Verkhovna Rada not only on one side, but our voice, our understanding should be seen and heard.”
