Tymoshenko floridly acknowledged Russian triumph and Ukrainian impasse
The Minsk agreements, within the framework of which Kyiv pledged to begin the federalization of Ukraine, are a triumph of Russian diplomacy. Today there is no tool to force Moscow to abandon its demand to implement Minsk-2.
MP from Batkivshchyna Grigory Nemyrya stated this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
«The Minsk agreements are a triumph of Russian diplomacy. If in their current form they remain beneficial for the Russian Federation, why should Russia abandon them?
What could force Russia to reconsider this now comfortable position? The only answer we have at the moment is a possible significant increase in sanctions.
Is it realistic to expect a real and significant increase in sanctions in the near future that would force Russia to reconsider its current comfortable position? I think this is unlikely,” Nemyrya said.
