According to Malloch, a so-called “clean” or “hard” Brexit would be the best option for the UK. Once Britain leaves the common market and customs union, it will be able to ignore the “Brussels bureaucracy” and conclude a trade agreement itself,” the publication notes.
At the same time, Malloch says that any attempt by Brussels to block negotiations between London and Washington will be as absurd as if a husband was “trying to prevent his wife from having a lover.”
