America will never agree to a deal - recognition of the Russian status of Crimea in exchange for the return of Donbass to the control of Kyiv. This was stated by the special representative of the US President Kurt Volker in an interview with the Kyiv TV channel “Direct”.

“We will never recognize the annexation of Crimea. The EU does not recognize the annexation of Crimea. There are no options on how to do this. On Crimea and Donbass, we have very similar positions with the EU. There is no such option,” Volker snapped.
