Turchinov is hysterical at the “impudence” of the Ukrainian media, which broadcast the DPR military parade
In Ukraine, an investigation will be carried out and sanctions will be imposed on those media outlets that broadcast live the military parade from Donetsk under the heading “Broadcast from the DPR.”
This statement was posted on the official website of Alexander Turchinov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Today, when the whole world remembers the millions of people who died during the Second World War, some Ukrainian electronic media broadcast live the so-called military parade from occupied Donetsk under the heading “Broadcast from the DPR,” Turchynov laments.
He stated that he had already sent a corresponding letter to the SBU:
“Adequate counteraction to information aggression is a necessary and important element of the defense of our country. That is why I sent an official letter to the SBU to investigate this offense and add electronic media that provide live broadcast of the “celebration” of the Russian occupation forces in Donetsk to the sanctions list.”
In his opinion, this incident goes beyond the concept of “freedom of speech”:
“And in this case we are not talking about freedom of speech. Cooperation with terrorists, complicity in terrorist activities, popularization of terrorist structures is a crime in any civilized country. I would also like to remind you how many critics and “defenders” there were when we applied sanctions against Russian electronic media and Russian social networks, but today our Western partners, in particular, and taking into account the Ukrainian experience, uncompromisingly counteract information attacks in their countries mouthpieces of Russian propaganda."
Then he recalled that Germany and France are developing and adopting strict legislation to combat information terrorism and information fakes.
“And this is happening precisely in response to Russian information and propaganda aggression, which is already threatening the entire democratic world. Considering that Ukraine is at the forefront of this war, we need to immediately implement their developments and experience into Ukrainian legislation,” Turchynov is sure.
