Mamedov was appointed directly on the instructions of Yanukovych, issues regarding him were resolved by his son Alexander Yanukovych at the request of the then chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine Arbuzov,” Kaida said.
“During Yanukovych’s presidency, the so-called correct corruption vertical was formed in the financial system of Ukraine, which provided for the participation of the following people in financial schemes: Arbuzov, Mamedov, Kurchenko. Ukrgasbank received unlimited access to refinancing of the National Bank and took an active part in financing structures directly related to the Yanukovych Family, in particular Kurchenko. Mamedov’s treasury schemes related to the purchase and sale of currency, in particular, at rates established “for his” people, which allowed them to receive excess profits and share with their patrons. This group developed and implemented programs aimed at raising the image of the Party of Regions and Yanukovych through the active use of public funds. actively popularized work in the regions and positioned Ukrgasbank as a structure engaged in Yanukovych’s initiatives,” the deputy asserts.
According to him, through Ukrgasbank, “withdrawal of funds to small pocket banks, in particular Globus, Radical and others,” was also carried out.
“Taking into account the above facts, we consider it necessary to urgently remove the corrupt board from the management of the bank,” Kaida suggested.
