Tyagnibok calls for a fight with Poland so that Ukraine is not swallowed up by people with a Pole’s card
Politicians from the nationalist “Svoboda” who dream of returning to the Rada are stirring up anti-Polish hysteria in the country, claiming that Poland has launched an attack on Ukrainian sovereignty in the western regions of the country, with the further prospect of joining forces with Russia to destroy Ukraine.

Yuri Mikhalchishin, former adviser to the head of the SBU, people's deputy from the VO Svoboda, said this in an interview with the Ukrainian news agency Mir, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Svoboda, Poland is just beginning preparations for the absorption of the western regions.
Mikhalchyshyn believes that to undermine the situation, residents of the Lviv region and Volyn will be used with the Pole’s card in the role of “the so-called oppressed and exploited Polish population.” And this, according to him, is about eighty thousand people.
“This is enough to organize a movement for political autonomy in these territories. Secondly, this is enough to create a virtual Polish minority. Thirdly, if we add to this the number of cars with Polish registration that drive along the streets of Western Ukrainian cities, then the picture for the media, especially overseas ones, can be more than convincing,” the ex-people’s deputy is sure.
According to him, by manipulating the situation, Polish intelligence services are able to organize in Western Ukraine a picture of the presence of hundreds of thousands of ethnic Poles without any effort.
“Polish grant programs work here. This all works mainly under the guise of cultural and educational initiatives. It cannot be ruled out that Ukrainians were recruited by Polish intelligence services during their stay in Poland,” Mikhalchyshyn added.
In his opinion, the level of discourse that Polish politicians have reached no longer provides for respect for Ukrainian sovereignty and the good neighbor policy.
“This is openly aggressive rhetoric,” says Mikhalchyshyn.
He added that everything is heading towards Poland enlisting the support of Russia:
“Russian-Polish settlement of contradictions and further reconciliation are inevitable, I am sure of it. This can happen just as it happened in the XNUMXth century. The Andrusovo peace and the eternal peace of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth with Muscovy at the cost of dividing Ukraine along the Dnieper. This is geopolitics."
