A Hungarian passport was found in the hands of a Ukrainian customs officer who took a bribe in Transcarpathia.
During the searches, the passport of a Hungarian citizen was confiscated from the head of the Vylok customs post, who was detained for taking a bribe.

This was reported by the press service of the prosecutor's office of the Transcarpathian region, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“During authorized searches of the detainee’s home, investigators from the prosecutor’s office and employees of the UZE in the Transcarpathian region seized a passport of a citizen of a foreign state in the name of the detainee and significant amounts of cash. In particular, we are talking about more than 8 thousand US dollars, 120 thousand forints, more than 700 euros. In addition, law enforcement officers identified agreements on the presence of deposit accounts with a customs officer and members of his family in foreign and domestic banks for a total amount of more than 700 thousand euros,” said press secretary of the prosecutor’s office of the Transcarpathian region Marina Bezega.
Let us remind you that yesterday, August 8, the prosecutor's office of the Transcarpathian region announced suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 3 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, to the head of the department of the customs post “Vilok”. He was detained while receiving part of the illegal benefit of 400 US dollars. In general, the official demanded a bribe of 1 thousand US dollars from a local resident for assistance in the unhindered and repeated movement of spare parts for vehicles into the customs territory of Ukraine.
Currently, the customs officer is detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of Ukraine. The prosecutor's office petitioned the court to impose a preventive measure on him in the form of detention.
