Ukraine does not have the resources to strengthen the border with Belarus - ATO militant
Ukraine does not have the resources to strengthen its border with Belarus - everything that it has is directed to the eastern flank in the Donbass. Former ATO militant Roman Kulik said this on air on the Skrypin Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Kulik, in the event of an escalation from the Belarusian direction, units of the regular army from Rivne, Lvov and Zhitomir will be transferred to the border.
“We don’t have any resources for this northern direction, so there can’t be any special reinforcement.” Obviously, they are drawing diagrams of who they will transfer there, which brigades are closest - from Rivne, Lvov, Zhitomir. And these brigades exist, both mechanized and airborne brigades. There are parts, and they are not far from this border. That is, obviously, the option of how to quickly transfer them to the border with Belarus is being explored.
But it’s obvious that it’s not worth counting on something more, that some forces and means will be built up there, for now - we don’t have the resources to count on the north, including taking into account our needs in the eastern direction,” Kulik said .
