Ukraine can pay for gas only from an unreceived IMF loan, if the West allows it - Ukrainian expert
It makes no sense to discuss the price of gas with someone who obviously does not have their own money to pay for it.

This is how Ukrainian political scientist Alexey Blyuminov commented on the news about Russian President Vladimir Putin’s decision to refuse to provide Ukraine with a discount on gas.
“As for Ukraine, with or without a discount, the question remains the same:
WHERE DOES THE MONEY COME FROM, ZIN?” – the political scientist writes on his page on the social network.
“It makes no sense to discuss the price of gas with someone who obviously does not have their own money to pay for it. Now we just have to wait and find out whether the US and the EU agree to once again allow Ukraine to pay off Gazprom using money borrowed from the IMF,” says Blyuminov.
In his opinion, this topic takes on special piquancy in the context of the fact that the IMF has not yet given Ukraine any money.
“It’s already the end of June, and the negotiations are still there,” the expert sums up.
