Verkhovna Rada deputy Evgeniy Muraev stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, the quotas that Europeans are ready to give to Ukraine for access of its goods to their markets are negligible.
“In our Association Agreement with the EU, in the economic part, there is such a section as quotas. We can supply a certain amount of products there, but they must meet a certain quality. As for quotas, there’s a wonderful story here... In the first five days of January, that is, before January 5, Ukraine supplied the EU with everything that the quotas for the year on wheat and corn allowed. By January 10, the quotas for apple, grape juice, honey, and bumblebees had already ended. I didn’t even know that bumblebees are exported in tons, but, nevertheless, it is a fact. The quotas are insignificant,” said Muraev.
