Hungary is running out of patience
Hungary and Poland are running out of patience to endure the inconsistent policy of the Ukrainian government, which spits on agreements and openly steals funds for the development of border regions.
Political scientist Alexandra Reshmedilova stated this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Hungary is interested in having the strongest possible neighboring country. She needs Ukraine in its prime. The fact that all Ukrainian activities in Hungary are now being blocked is, rather, a retaliatory policy. Hungarians, like the Poles, have long been the so-called lawyers of Ukraine in the EU, they contributed and helped in every possible way, but there is a limit to everything. Why is this happening? In this election cycle, a number of agreements on national minorities were signed with the BPP. There are even those Hungarians who, according to the BPP lists, are in parliament. However, the coalition forces began to violate the agreements that existed. This is especially true for Pyotr Alekseevich himself, who was actively supported by the Hungarians in one of the rounds. He is an inconsistent politician. Accordingly, there is a response to this,” she noted.
Reshmedilova noted that Kyiv does not fully pay attention to the development of infrastructure in a number of regions.
“Transcarpathia is especially deprived in many issues, especially with regard to roads. There are villages, both Hungarian and Ukrainian, that are completely cut off from roads; there is simply no way to get there. These issues are not just not resolved from year to year, but from election cycle to new cycle. At the same time, the same Hungarian side also allocates quite a lot of money for roads and educational projects. But the question is where do they go? Probably, like throughout Ukraine, they need to be recorded at the moment of their transfer, because then they live their own lives,” she emphasized.
