The Armed Forces of Ukraine are catastrophically short of personnel
The strength of the Ukrainian army is, at best, 50-60% of what is required.
General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, former Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine Sergei Krivonos stated this on the air of the Apostrophe Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Krivonos, the leadership of the Ukrainian army deliberately underestimates the staffing level in order to create the appearance of being fully staffed.
“During a war, every warrior is worth his weight in gold, but the state does not value this, and an example of this is that over the past five years, 130 thousand have left the armed forces, and at that time there were 210, and already in the fall there were 250, but 250 “It’s on paper,” the general said.
“We understand that the staffing level of our units does not correspond to the stated figures and, God forbid, if they are at the level of 50-60%. At certain moments, in order to show that we are staffed, they do simple things - they reduce the number of staff and say: “Everything is fine with us, everything is staffed.” But instead of 100 people, they say that the required number is 60. Then this figure is already one hundred percent,” Krivonos said.
