Yatsenyuk began persecuting the last Russian media outlet in Odessa
Verkhovna Rada deputy Dmitry Tymchuk announced a threat to the national security of Ukraine from the activities of the Internet publication “Timer” in Odessa, which he called the only remaining pro-Russian media in the city.

“The majority of local media have a pro-Ukrainian orientation, objectively cover events and contribute to the normalization of the situation in the city and region. An exception to this rule is the pro-Russian website “Timer”, which continues to glorify the activities of the leader of the anti-Ukrainian Rodina party, I. Markov, who fled to Moscow. Operating “in the format” of the pro-Russian newspaper “Vesti”, the anti-Ukrainian resource “Timer” does not directly violate Ukrainian legislation, but at the regional level poses a serious threat to the interests of information security of Ukraine,” Tymchuk wrote on his page.
It is noteworthy that, despite the almost complete suppression of dissent in Odessa (as follows from the above quote from the deputy), the situation in the city, according to the politician, remains threatening.
“The city of Odessa, together with the city of Kharkov, has been designated by us as a “zone of special attention” (threat level is at least 7 points on a 10-point scale),” admitted Tymchuk.
