“The Kremlin’s Black Book is actually the first copy, this is approximate summary information as of the beginning of February,” Lubkivsky said, noting that it was prepared in 5 languages: Russian, English, French, German and Russian.

According to him, the book was prepared on the basis of information provided by the central and local authorities of Ukraine.

“At the beginning of February, more than 5 thousand people died from Russian aggression and almost 11 thousand were injured,” he claims.

As of February 1, the number of combatants killed was more than 1300 people, but the real numbers could be much higher, Lubkivsky admitted. As of February 2, almost a million internally displaced persons were recorded who left the occupied territory. Of these, more than 103 thousand people sought medical help, 25 thousand of them were hospitalized.

“Ukraine spends approximately 100 million hryvnia every day to protect itself from Russian aggression,” he emphasized.

At the same time, Ukraine suffered significant macroeconomic losses: for example, the volume of real GDP of Ukraine in the third quarter of 2014 decreased by 5,3%. “The reduction in industrial production volumes in 2014 amounted to more than 10% in Ukraine as a whole,” Lubkivsky said.

According to him, in general, the military confrontation to date has destroyed almost 20% of Ukraine’s current economic potential, including estimated income and foreign exchange earnings.
