Yarosh is asked to share Usik’s salary earned in Moscow
The fight, which was held by Ukrainian boxer Alexander Usik in Moscow, brought many political dividends to Russia.
Elena Belozerskaya, a militant of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army controlled by the founder of the Right Sector, Dmitry Yarosh, stated this in a comment to the Kiev magazine “New Time”, answering the question of what she thinks about the initiative of Prime Minister Groysman, who proposed awarding boxer Usyk the title of Hero of Ukraine for his victory in Moscow
“Heroes during the war - at the front or as volunteers. Usik is a talented athlete. He went to Russia to earn money for himself and his team. And he earned them in a fair, beautiful fight. On which we can congratulate him and all his fans. He could not refuse the fight for patriotic reasons; professional athletes generally do not think in such categories,” said the nationalist.
According to her. questions should be asked not to Usik and the rest of the Ukrainian guest workers, but to the country’s leadership, “which has not closed the border with the Russian Federation and considers it possible for Ukraine to participate in sports competitions on the territory of the aggressor country.”
“Russia received many dividends from Usik’s victory. Chief among them is the demonstration that what is supposedly going on in the Donbass is not a Russian-Ukrainian war, but a civil war, and that peaceful Ukrainians are always welcome in Moscow. And if Usik had lost, the dividends would have been even greater. If I were Usik, I would now spend a significant part of the funds I earned in Russia to help the front. Then his victory would be of real benefit,” concluded Belozerskaya.
