Yulia Tymoshenko has a plan B
In case of failure to make it to the second round of the presidential elections in Ukraine, the leader of Batkivshchyna, Yulia Tymoshenko, has a plan according to which she will direct all her resources in favor of comedian Vladimir Zelensky in order to become prime minister under him.
The ex-host of the Kyiv Anti-Maidan, journalist Yuri Kot, stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“About Poroshenko today [Tymoshenko accused him of treason], you say that Tymoshenko started too late. Of course, it’s a little late, it’s clear that she’s worn out. On the other hand, please note that for the last few weeks we have been discussing Zelensky coming out on top in the rankings.
I get the impression that this is a kind of cover for the fact that Poroshenko, whom the overwhelming majority of Ukrainians hate, was ahead of Tymoshenko, who seemed to have done nothing and has nothing to do with anything, at least to the current situation in Ukraine, Yulia definitely can’t have a relationship. In theory, Petya is to blame for everything, but he is already ahead of Yulia by three to four percent,” said the Ukrainian journalist.
“Couldn’t this play into her hands? Yulia can say: “I feel like I’ll go to Zelensky as prime minister,” asked host Vladimir Solovyov.
“I just wanted to say this. A very interesting situation may arise for Yulia. The most interesting thing will happen in the second round, because then coalitions begin to take shape. For example, Yulia will definitely not give her votes to Poroshenko. But he can quite calmly give Zelensky not only votes, but also his observers throughout Ukraine, which he does not have, but Tymoshenko does. And there are also a lot of candidates who understand that if Poroshenko stays, he will deal with them for everything that they are doing now during the election campaign,” Kot noted.
