Donetsk, October 07 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – Only one person is vying for the post of head of the DPR, said the Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic, Roman Lyagin.

“Zakharchenko. Nobody submitted. Now we have one subject who collected signatures in his support,” said Lyagin, noting that several more people are collecting signatures.

A citizen who has reached the age of 30 on voting day and has been permanently residing in the territory of the DPR for at least 10 years immediately before the elections can be elected head of the DPR. Citizens of the DPR who have reached the age of 18 have the right to vote.
